School: BS in Psychology from The University of Iowa, MA in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of Missouri

Internship: Children’s Hospital of Pittsburg in Spring 2014.  

Emily is the lead child life specialist at Nemours and also covers the General Pediatric unit and the inpatient rehab unit. When she’s not at work, she refills her cup by hanging with her pup and going to spin at Cyclebar Winter Park.

Beth Carroll, BS, CCLS, CIMI
Holtz Children’s Hospital 



Beth works with the Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant population at Holtz Children’s. On her free time she likes: cooking, photography, fitness classes, going to the beach and watching Gator football. She’s working on learning Spanish to better serve the Spanish population in Miami.

Zuli works in the Hematology and Oncology unit at Florida Hospital for Children. The most favorite part of her job is finding creative ways to engage patients in play and help them in coping throughout their medical journey. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, the beach and being with her dog.

Karlyn works in the outpatient day hospital at St. Joseph’s Children Hospital. On her free time she likes to go to farmers markets and dog parks with her husband and dog.

Kari Kletter, BS, CCLS

Kari works in the Outpatient Surgery center and outpatient Endoscopy units at Florida Hospital for Children. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, travel, go to the beach and watch UGA football. Go Dawgs!


Bobbi King

Bobbi is the new student member on the board. She has a BS in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is in the process of getting her Masters in Developmental Disabilities with a concentration in child life from Nova Southeaster University. She has completed one practicum at Florida Hospital for Children and an additional practicum at Duke University Children’s Hospital. Bobbi loves spending her free time with her sweet 3-year old daughter, Ella, and her husband, nieces and nephews. They spend their weekend at their family farm.
