Arnold Palmer Hospital at Orlando Health is seeking a Child Life Specialist to join our Children’s and Women’s Services on a full time, varied shift. This position is from 8am-4:30pm and occasional weekends. They will be responsible for assessing for and provide supportive interventions for patients and families by utilizing theories of human growth and development, family systems and bio-psychosocial models. Provision of the essential and related job functions will take place during the day, late afternoon, evening, and/or weekend shift work. The specific hours of shift work will be determined by the Supervisor according to the needs of the unit being served.

Provides therapeutic activities to normalize the hospital environment for patients and their families, to include procedural support. Certification note: completion of an internship under the direct supervision of a certified child life specialist required to apply and CCLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
